Privacy Policy

How the Emergent MCP Connector handles your data when you use it from ChatGPT, Claude, or another MCP client.

Last updated: 15 June 2026

Scope

This policy covers the Emergent MCP Connector at https://mcp.emergent.sh — the Model Context Protocol server that lets an AI assistant create and manage Emergent jobs on your behalf. It supplements the Emergent Privacy Policy, which governs the Emergent platform and your account; where they overlap, this page describes connector-specific behavior.

What data we access

The connector only acts for the signed-in Emergent user. Through it we process:

  • Account identity — the OAuth identity of your Emergent account, used to authorize requests.
  • Prompts and messages — the task descriptions, answers, and change requests you send to a job.
  • Job data — job IDs, status, titles, conversation history (trajectories), and preview URLs/images for apps you build.

The connector does not request your contacts, files, or any data outside your own Emergent jobs, and it cannot see other users' jobs.

How it's used

Data is used solely to provide the connector's functions: starting jobs, relaying your messages to the Emergent agent, reporting status and history, and returning a preview of the running app. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Storage

Job and account data is stored on the Emergent platform, hosted on Google Cloud. App previews are captured as images and served through a content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront / S3) so they load quickly; cached preview images expire automatically.

Third-party sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the connector, and with the AI assistant you choose to use:

  • Your AI assistant (OpenAI / ChatGPT or Anthropic / Claude) — when you use the connector from their client, your prompts and the tool results pass through that assistant and are handled under its privacy policy.
  • LLM providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI) — used by the Emergent agent to build your app.
  • Infrastructure providers — Google Cloud (hosting), Cloudflare (rendering app previews), Amazon CloudFront / S3 (preview image delivery), and our authentication provider.

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Data retention

Job and conversation data is retained for the life of your Emergent account so you can return to your projects. Cached preview images expire from the CDN automatically. You can delete jobs, or request deletion of your account and associated data, at which point it is removed from active systems within the period described in the Emergent Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

  • All traffic uses HTTPS.
  • Access is authorized with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE); the connector never receives your password, and every request is bearer-gated and scoped to your account.
  • You can revoke the connector's access at any time from your AI assistant's connector settings.

Your choices

You control the connection: disconnect or revoke access from your assistant's settings to stop all access, and manage or delete your jobs from app.emergent.sh.
